Upon completion of the program, students will transfer to UTSA to obtain their bachelor's degree in any of the six UTSA engineering degree programs. This Transfer Advising Guide represents UTSA's degree plan and is subject to change at the university's discretion. It is intended for advising purposes only so students know exactly which courses they can take at any of the colleges in the Alamo Colleges District and have the courses count towards degree requirements when they transfer to UTSA. LSC engineering students can participate the UTSA Transfer Academy for Tomorrow's Engineers program, where students will be co-enrolled at both institutions, take engineering courses taught by UTSA and LSC faculty. Students are encouraged to consult with an academic advisor about courses and other educational concerns if they plan to pursue a two-year degree program, transfer to another college or university, or simply take a few selected courses. The original engineering building offers multiple computer labs, a microcomputer lab, a lab with Sun Microsystems computers for a course in digital systems design, and two labs for students in practical, hands-on courses. The original building serves as the location for the mechanical engineering faculty offices as well. The Biotechnology, Sciences and Engineering building opened in 2006, and hosts new opportunities for engineering students.
The building has also received recognition in the architecture community for its design and purpose. The inaugural class of students in the chemical engineering program begins classes in the fall. UTSA limited initial enrollment for its first-semester offerings but had more than twice as many applicants for the 40 to 50 slots. The UTSA College of Engineering is currently recognized as the leading engineering program in South Texas, with more than 3,300 students enrolled, and is growing every year.

Texas State University is a small/ medium size town if you are not comfortable with big city's this might be the university for you. The University is a beautiful campus, several organizations to your interest, and an amazing social work program. So far my current experiences being a college student at UTRGV has been great, the professors have been really nice and the work balance is manageable. UTRGV is currently doing their best to help students achieve their academic goals and helping financially to those who have been struggling during the current COVID pandemic.
Campus events have been really great and amazing, as they still prioritize safety first so you can have fun and not worry. There is so many diverse people on campus that you can learn about and talk to. UTRGV is always making sure that their students make the most out of their experiences being in college. The professor was denied financial research incentives and summer salary and was routinely given less prestigious assignments than younger female colleagues who were not Egyptian, according to court documents. It adds that he never was made director of the chemical engineering program as promised nor was he ever given control over the research startup fund that the university offered him, preventing him from completing his job duties.
As Engineering students reach their senior year, they must choose a concentration. A concentration is a more specific area in one's field of study, where the student is required to take classes in that concentration. For electrical engineering, the concentrations offered are control systems, computer engineering, and communications. The idea is to turn out graduates to work in the biomedical and energy sectors. There is Greek Life, Inter-murals, social clubs and student life events. Such events include concerts, trivia night, movies by the pool and several more. Due to the campus being a smaller size these events really bring the community together and create a network where people feel secure and safe being on campus. As a current student I would recommend attending St. Mary's as it is a place where you can accomplish your academic goals and forgo your planned expectations.

Groundbreaking for the University of Texas at San Antonio's newest building, a $95 million science and engineering facility, marks a major milestone for the city's largest public university. Six FAST Scholars will be recruited primarily from among the participants of the San Antonio Prefreshman Engineering Program (SA-PREP). SA-PREP, established at UTSA in 1979 by mathematics professor Manuel Berriozabal, has prepared more than 16,000 middle and high school students to pursue degrees in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. The funding will create the inaugural Facilitated Access to Scientific Training scholarship program at UTSA. The program will increase the number of economically disadvantaged students who complete undergraduate degrees in biology, chemistry or physics.

I went to SCSU and majored in Accounting at their business school so I can speak to that.
